Tenerife

Because of its geographical position in the North Atlantic zone near Africa and influenced by various sea currents, Tenerife enjoys a mild, spring like climate the whole year round.

Pico del Teide – 3817 m above sea level – the highest mountain in Spain - is located on Tenerife, surrounded by the rich fauna and flora of a nature reserve.

Puerto Santiago, Playa de la Arena and Los Gigantes are especially sheltered from wind and weather by 300 m high cliffs of the Teno mountain range. A mountain pass road leads via the villages of Tamaimo and Santiago del Teide over towards the more humid north of the island-to Icod de Los Vinos and to Puerto de la Cruz.

The sandy beach “Playa de la Arena” only at a 5 minutes walking distance from the villa Terber, is emphasised in all guide books for its beauty. Rental cars, various kinds of boats, mountain bikes, Jeeps, motor-bikes, and even camels are available for exploring the island.
